Marco, founder of Maison Violette

About

Built one chair, one cut at a time.

Maison Violette opened in 2014 with a single chair, a worn leather strop, and a stubborn belief that haircuts should feel like a small ritual — not a transaction.

Marco, the founder, apprenticed in Milan before bringing his approach to Brooklyn. Today the shop is still small on purpose: two chairs, an unhurried pace, and clients we know by name.

The violet glow in the window is borrowed from his grandmother's parlor in Genova. The rest — the patience, the precision, the quiet — he learned at the chair.
